Early Bird Bleed Monitoring System
Saranas, a medical device company, has developed a technology for improving patient outcomes through early detection of internal bleeding complications. The team was looking to grow beyond their seed fund stage and eager to raise additional capital, and Amerra was asked to create an animation showing the features and benefits of their Early Bird System. Michael Magnani, CEO, points out that their new visual communication tool was immediately impactful.
“We only had friends & family money prior to developing our animation, so unequivocally it has played a significant role in getting funding as we are now over $5 million dollars, with another tranche getting finalized. To me that’s a good ROI, because a roughly $8 thousand dollar investment is allowing us to now tell our story successfully to the investment community.”
This valuable investment enhanced their investor presentations so much initially; the team now uses it for all potential investor messaging.
“The animation is proactively used in our investor package along with the term sheet and pitch deck, which are the main components all investors want to see.”
In addition, Amerra produced an interactive product module, allowing Saranas to engage their audiences even more. Users can rotate the device in a 3D space as well as learn about technology features and benefits via clickable hotspots. This initial combination of visual education solutions has facilitated impactful investment pitches and Saranas’ growth into animal studies, forging their path towards FDA clearance.
“As much as most companies are skeptical to invest in telling their story with 3D visualization, it really comes down to knowing that quality visual tools will deliver the needed features and benefits of technology to both industry and non-industry experts.”
